We feel well when we are congruent. Being aligned means having all our feelings, actions, thoughts and beliefs line up and all point in the same direction.
We feel unwell whenever there is a paradox, or whenever we are being pulled in two opposite directions, we lose our congruence.
Sometimes in life we can respond to a situation in one way that is perfect but later in life a similar situation comes about and we try to do the same thing and it no longer works.
Lets say you are in a situation where you are feeling unwell. Lets say you know you need to do something but your not doing it. There are two obvious ways of dealing with this situation.
to make a change, to do things differently, to step up and take action
to go to a deeper place within, where you don't need to do anything just be at peace with yourself, as you are already perfect the way that you are.
Both options are perfect if you are happy with them, but because they are mutually exclusive which means you can't have two opposite things at the same time (e.g. it can not be wet and dry in the same place at the same time). So sometimes in life it is important to change and other times it is important to become more whole, so that what ever was bothering you, no longer exists as you have moved beyond it.
There is a time in life when we focus on learning more about who we are and there are times when we are taking action, making change and going for it. There are also times when we are in the flow of life, where we can feel everything as perfect and nothing needs to change. No one of these times is better than the other but it is important to know that you have all within and they all play a very important role. Trying to be in one when it's not the right time will cause pain as you lose congruence. There is a natural rhythm to these seasons just like the seasons of a year.
